Karl van Hoogenvest

Director & Senior Project Manager

Karl is a highly qualified Construction Consultant and the founder of Hydromedial Consulting Group, established in 2018 to help homeowners resolve complex building issues and achieve quality-controlled, compliant, and warrantable outcomes.

Backed by 31 years of contractor- and client-side experience, his background spans residential, commercial, government and heritage. Driven by a commitment to high standards, Karl holds an extensive suite of credentials beginning from the site, including a Certificate III in Carpentry & Joinery, an unrestricted Licensed & Registered Builder qualification, Certificates in Project Management and Demolition Supervision, a Diploma in Project Management, and Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM) status, alongside long-term membership with the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM). A natural collaborator, he focuses on cross-disciplinary teamwork, digital and inspection based quality management, and expert technical oversight to bring clarity to every project while mentoring others to elevate industry standards.

Mark Bradbury

Project Manager

Mark Bradbury brings 37 years of construction and project management experience across the residential, commercial, education, health, and infrastructure sectors. He excels in delivering premium, cost-effective solutions tailored to each client’s brief using various delivery methodologies, including lump sum, design and construct, and construction management.

Mark aligns and motivates project stakeholders to guarantee high-quality outcomes and stays focused on the ‘big picture’ whilst managing the detail. His extensive portfolio spans everything from high-density housing and aged care to heritage and civil projects, making him a versatile leader dedicated to meeting strict compliance and quality standards. Driven by a collaborative approach and the guiding principle, “would I accept this on my own home?”

Mark holds a Bachelor of Building in Construction Management (Hons.), and a Land & Engineering Survey Drafting Certificate.

Jonas Hinz

Building Consultant

With 14 years of construction experience, Jonas Hinz is a highly qualified builder, expert building consultant, and report writer with comprehensive experience spanning residential and commercial construction, defect identification, specification writing and compliance assessment. Holding a broad range of industry credentials — including a Certificate IV in Building and Construction, Certificates III in Carpentry and Landscape Construction, and certification as a Passive House Consultant — Jonas possesses a deep working knowledge of the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, waterproofing, facade performance and construction methods.

Jonas specialises in expert building consultancy, delivering detailed technical reports, specifications and rectification analysis for remedial projects and legal proceedings before NCAT and the Supreme Court of NSW.
